InnerMost is enrolling healthcare workers who continue to experience symptoms of post-traumatic stress related to their frontline work, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. This open-label clinical trial is designed to explore the safety and effectiveness of MDMA-assisted therapy as a potential treatment option. Sponsored by Nautilus Sanctuary, this study is an Investigator Initiated Trial (IIT).
Enrollment is ongoing. Participation lasts between 11 and 33 weeks, depending on individual schedules.
This study will be conducted at InnerMost, in NoMad, Manhattan, New York City.
Healthcare workers (ages 18–65) who served on the frontlines during the COVID-19 pandemic and are experiencing post-traumatic stress symptoms related to their work.
You may be eligible if you:
- Are between 18–85 years old
- Worked in a healthcare setting during COVID-19 and are experiencing post-traumatic stress symptoms confirmed at screening
- Can attend in-person visits at our Manhattan-based clinic
All study-related care and medication are provided at no cost, and participants are compensated for time and travel.
Every dosing session takes place in a supportive environment with trained, experienced professionals. Safety is a priority—participants are carefully monitored throughout, and integration support is provided after each experience.
This study will be conducted under the guidance of Dr. Casey Paleos, MD in Manhattan, NY. Participants will receive:
- Screening and preparatory sessions with a therapy team
- 3 all-day MDMA-assisted therapy sessions
- Integration therapy sessions after each dosing session
- Long-term follow-up, including a 12-month assessment of lasting effects
